关于春节的英语介绍

Spring Festival is the most important and traditional festival in China. It usually falls in the January or February based on the Chinese Lunar Calendar. On this occasion, almost all the Chinese people will go back to their hometown to celebrate the festival with their relatives, thus you can see a large number of people on the train and bus during this period.

During the Spring Festival, the whole family will gather together, they will have a big dinner and chat with each other, expressing their best blessings to each other. People usually put red lanterns and scrolls on the wall to symbolize their best wishes. Some performances, like dragon and lion dances, will be staged during the festival. In some places, people also set off firecrackers to celebrate. The festival is a time for people from all walks of life to enjoy and relax.
