This park is situated in the south part of dalian, it is a marine theme park combined sightseeing, entertainment, education and shopping.

Well, as to the name of the tiger beach, there is a story and I’d like to share it with you. Long time ago, here lived a tiger, he always went down the mountain to attack people. One day, the dragon king’s daughter went ashore at here to pick some flowers; unfortunately, she was taken away by the tiger. A young man named Shicao hared the cry for help, he ran behind the tiger with his sword in his hand, the tiger was afraid and left the girl behind and run away. To repay shicao’s kindness, the girl married shicao. The girl told shicao the tiger used to be a star in the sky, it can only be killed by a sward in the dragon king’s palace. In order to kill the tiger, the girl decided to go back home to get the sward. When the girl left, the tiger went down mountain to attack people again, shicao cannot wait his wife be back and then fight with the tiger. He cut the tiger’s teeth, them fell in the sea and it became the tiger teeth reef, he throw the tiger into the lvshun bay and cut his head off, which became a mountain. The tiger was killed and shicao was also seriously wounded, he fell in the sea and became a reef. When his wife came back, she was so sad to see this, she stayed with him and cried all day, and eventually she became a reef too. this reef can still be see now, however, this is just a story not the fact. There are some other kind of explanations, some said here lived some tigers in the ancient time so it is called the tiger beach, some said here used to be a cave, when the tide went up in the midnight, it roars just like a tiger roars, so the named it the tiger beach.

This park covers an area of 1,180,000 square meters, with a coast line of more than 4km, it is now the biggest modern coastal paradise. The marine animal hall and the coral hall are the most famous buildings here. Apart from that, it also has the biggest granite sculpture of tigers in China, the half opened bird cage, and the world-class marine animal hall.
