Step 1 Preview and perception 【预习感知】 Ask the students to read the vocabulary and target language. .根据句意及汉语或首字母提示完成句子。

1Look at 1a.Are the problems serious or not? Write them in the appropriate box. 2Let the students read the sentences aloud.Ask some students to read them in front of the class.

1Play the tape and ask the students to listen and circle the problems they hear in 1a.

2Listen again and repeat them. Page 251c

1Focus on the conversation in the box.

1Play the recording for the first time.
