Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: children should spend all their time on studying and playing and they shouldn’t be required to help family with household chores, such as cooking etc.
开头：不同意孩子不帮家里干活。（话题引入+他人观点+明确立场+过渡句） Children are the hope of a family, who shoulder high expectations of being versatile, getting ahead of peers, and succeeding in their future lives. Those pushy parents pay a great deal of attention not only to their kids’ academic performance, but also to their physical condition, leaving almost no room for children to engage in household chores. As far as I am concerned, household chores mean a lot to a child’s overall development, which cannot be overlooked. My reasons and examples are given below.
中间段1：做家务可以锻炼孩子们动手能力。（主题句+说理论证+细节例子） Firstly, household chores are conducive to cultivating children’s ability to do practical things. It is because the prosperity of economy is undoubtedly accomplished by those who really know how to put the theory into practice. In other words, people with good practical ability are more likely to be recognized and respected by the society. Such kind of ability can gradually grow out of doing household chores. For example, if a child wants to study abroad in the future, he or she needs a strong practical ability to survive such as washing clothes and cooking, because there is no one else to rely on.
中间段2：做家务可以培养孩子们的家庭责任感。（主题句+说理论证+细节例子） Secondly, in doing household chores, children’s sense of family responsibility will be gradually formed and enhanced. Family is a place where every member need to give and take. It is understandable that children have been taking love and care from elders since they were born.But if they can learn to give something to this family like undertaking some housework, they will feel they are just a part of this family, sharing pain and joy with other family members. A negative example is my cousin who only cares about himself and becomes aloof to his parents, which is probably caused by his absence in any type of household chores.

To put it in a nutshell, the importance of doing household chores cannot be overestimated. There is an old saying in china that goes, “a person who never cleans his house is unlikely to manage the country”, which means that a great success is amassed by countless single tiny tasks. Maybe household chores are the first step towards success.
