Dear friends from all over the world,
On behalf of Class **, I warmly welcome you to attend the Mid-Autumn festival celebration. The Mid-Autumn Day, falling on the 10th of August in the Chinese lunar calendar, is a traditional Chinese holiday for family members and loved ones to gather together. As for the people who cannot return home due to some reasons, they will find the best place to admire the full moon and express the feelings of homesickness. Aside from enjoying the glorious full moon, Chinese people will also eat the traditional food of festival-moon cake. Intoxicated with the wonderful moment, some people can not help chanting poems.
Considering that some students can not have this yearly reunion with their families, our class decides to hold this celebration to make everyone feel the love and friendship on this special day.The activities in the celebration will include simulating ancient ceremonies, reciting ancient Chinese poems as well as guessing lantern riddles.What’s more, free drinks and moon cakes are available while we admire the full moon.
