Zhang Jike is a Chinese table tennis player. He was named after the Brazilian① soccer player Zico. His father is a table tennis coach②. So he began to play table tennis when he was four years old. From August 2016, he is the number four player in the world.
When Zhang won the Olympic gold medal③ in singles, he became the fourth male player in the history of table tennis to achieve a career Grand Slam④. When he won first in WTTC⑤ 2011, then World Cup 2011, and then London Olympics 2012, he won the Grand Slam in only 445 days, being the fastest player ever to do so. Notes
