Step 1 Warming up & Revision 1. Greet the Ss.
2. Oral Communication.
3. Help the Ss find the differences between It’s time for… and It’s time to.... Step 2 Presentation & Practice Listen, circle and match.
1. Play/say the rhymes of Let’s spell in Unit 1-3 to Review the sounds of er/ir/ur/ar/al . & /ə/ / ɜ:/ /ɑ:/ /ɔ:/.
2. Present some words or pictures on the screen and ask the Ss to spell and then help them find the rules.
3. Listen and write. T reads some words include er/ir/ur/ar/ al and ask the Ss to write. Then check the answers. 4. Listen, circle and match.
A. Play the recorders. Have Ss listen and repeat the words. B. Circle the letter combinations.
C. Have the Ss match the letters with the corresponding pictures. D. Check the answers .
E. Have Ss write more words that content the letters and the sounds.
Read and write
A. Present the pictures. Have Ss say the words.
B. Focus on the letter combinations ir, al, ur, ar, or, and er in the
words girl, ball, nurse, car, fork and computer.
C. Have Ss read and choose the words to fill in the blanks. D. Check answers and circle the big letters. Read and circle.
A. Say the command to review the structures It’s time to/for….
Have Ss say and do the actions
It’s time for breakfast. Let’s drink some milk. It’s time for lunch. Let’s have some chicken....
B. Make dialogues with the Ss to exchange daily information.
Ask questions What time do you get up? What’s the weather like today? etc.
C. Show the first picture and ask Do you want to know when John gets up?Elicit the answer. Then ask the Ss to look at the picture and say There is a mistake in the picture. Can you find it? Help the Ss circle the word sunny. After that, you can say There
