Act 1 Only a cat

Miller: My sons, I have a mill, a donkey and a cat. My oldest son, I give the mill to you.
And my second son, I give the donkey to you. And my youngest son, I give the cat to you.
(The miller dies)

Act 2 Presents for the King
(Puss puts some food into the bag.)

(at the castle)

（on the third day）
Puss: sire, this parrot is a present from my master.

Act 3 The Clever Cat
Puss: The king and the Princess are coming.Master, jump into the river now! Master: But I can’t swim.
Puss: Trust me. Then you can marry the Princess.
(Puss’ master jumps into the river. Puss hides his master’s clothes) Puss: (yelling) Help! Help! My master is in the river! King: (looking out) My man, go and help him.
(Puss’s master gets out of the river) Puss: A thief stole my master’s clothes! king: Oh,no! Give him good clothes. (Puss’s master sears the new clothes)
Puss: Sire, this is my master, the Marquis of Carabas . king: Marquis ,can I see your castle?
Master: Ye…ye…yes. (whispering to puss)I don’t have any castle! I’m scared. Puss: （whispering to his master）Trust me. I have a plan. (to all of them) I will lead you to my master’s castle.
Act 4 The Ogre’s Castle
(Puss arrives at the Ogre’s castle before the king.) Puss : Can you change into anything? Ogre: Yes, I can.
Puss: Then can you change into a lion? Ogre：Of course!
(He changes into a lion)
Puss：wow! Then can you change into a mouse? Ogre：Of course! Watch me!
(He changes into a mouse.)
Puss: (eating the mouse) Foolish Ogre! Now this is my master’s castle. Ha -ha.
(The king, the princess and the Marquis of Carabas come to the castle.) Puss： Welcome to my master’s castle.
king: Wonderful! The castle is so great and beautiful. Marquis of Carabas,
will you marry the Princess?
Master: Oh, yes, I will. I like the Princess.
Puss: Congratulations, Master! Am I better than a mill or a donkey? Master: Of course, puss. You are the best!
