Tortoise and Hare Race

Once upon a time, there was a tortoise and a hare. They often played together and became good friends. One day, they decided to have a race to see who was faster.

The hare confidently said, "I'm sure I can win this race! I'm the fastest animal around."

The tortoise replied, "Don't be so sure. I may not be fast, but I'm patient and determined."

The race began. The hare quickly dashed ahead, feeling proud of his speed. The tortoise, however, plodded slowly, but steadily.

As the hare approached the finish line, he saw that the tortoise was still far behind. The hare began to relax and slowed down. He thought he would easily win the race.

Meanwhile, the tortoise kept on plodding, never giving up. As the tortoise neared the finish line, the hare became more and more confident that he would win. Just as the hare was about to cross the finish line, he looked back and saw that the tortoise had caught up to him. The hare was shocked and tried to run faster, but it was too late. The tortoise had already crossed the finish line.

The tortoise won the race because he was patient, determined, and never gave up. The hare lost because he became too confident and relaxed when he was ahead.

This story teaches us that slow and steady wins the race. It also reminds us to be humble and never become too confident when we are doing something.
