die, dead, dying, death

为动词，表示“死，死亡”，指因为生病、年老、负伤等原因而死，是非延续

die

性动词，不能同表示一段时间的状语连用。

为形容词，指“死的，无生命的，”表示状态，可以同表示一段时间的状语连

用。如果表达“死了多长时间”用“have/has been dead for +时间段”或“died+时间段+ago”。

He died two years ago。他两年前死的。 His father has been dead for ten years。

（1） by oneself 意为“独自；单独”。

die的现在分词。作定语或表语，指“垂死的，要死的”。 为名词，指“死，死亡”，在句中作主语或宾语。

be ready 意为“做好准备”，表示一种准备就绪的状态。be ready to 意为“准备”，其后接动词原形，侧重于状态。

（1） get ready to 与 ready to 意义相近，意为“准备……”，其后接动词原形，侧重

于动作。

All the runners got ready to run。所有的赛跑队员都做好了跑的准备。

（2） be ready for 与 get ready for 意义相近，意为“为……做好准备”，其后都接名

词或代词。但前者侧重状态，后者则侧重动作。

We are ready for the final exam。我们已为期末考试做好准备。

（1） so that 主要引导目的状语从句，其从句中的谓语动词通常和can，may，should

等情态动词连用，而且主句与从句之间不使用逗号，意为“以便于；使能够”。

They set out early so that they might the early train。他们早早地出发以便能赶上早班火车。

（2） so…that…引导的是表示结果的状语从句，意为“如此……以至于……；那样……

以至于……”。其引导的结果状语从句的谓语动词可以和情态动词can，could连用，有时that可省略。

（3） so…that…结构与too…to…及enough to 结构的转换。 ① 通常so…that…的否定结构可以和too…to…结构互相转换。 Our classroom is so small that it can’t hold 80 students。 =Our classroom is too small to hold 80 students。 我们的教室太小了，不能容纳80名学生。
