Sweet day, so cool, so calm, so bright 美好的白昼，如此清凉、宁静，明媚 The bridal of the earth and sky: 那是天空与大地的婚礼

The dew shall weep thy fall tonight, 今宵的滴露，为你的沉沦流泪 For thou must die. 因你终有一死

Sweet rose, whose hue, angry and brave, 玫瑰馥郁，怒放着鲜艳的光彩 Bids the rash gazer wipe his eyes: 走马观花者，也拭目而视 Thy root is ever in its grave,你的根埋入自身的茔盖， And thou must die. 而你必然消逝

Sweet spring, full of sweet days and roses, 春光曼妙，晴日里玫瑰缤纷 A box where sweets compacted lie: 盒中充满甜蜜，层层紧实 My music shows ye have your closes, 我的声歌终阙，你也扣响天门 And all must die. 一切不再觉知

Only a sweet and virtuous soul, 唯一颗温厚、圣洁的心灵 Like seasoned timber, never gives;绝不变形，像是风干的栋梁 But though the whole world turn to coal.纵使全世界顿化灰烬 Then chiefly lives. 美德终葆天长
