controversy over the issue of bringing pets including dogs, birds etc. into campus. Supporters advocate that keeping pets has more benefits for them, while opponents hold the opposite view since it will constantly arouse trouble. This article will focus on my stance against keeping pets on campus from personal life, social life and environment.

To start with, it is not wise for you to keep a pet on campus since you are occupied to your study. You have to waste much time walking with your pet, caring for it and taking your pet to the vet for random check-ups. So many things are waiting for you. What’s more, keeping pets in the confined living conditions of dorms will have a direct impact on the normal life of others. For instance, when






your roommates are concentrating on studying, your pet makes hateful noises that disturb their attentions. It is impolite. Last but not least, hygiene is very important in crowded conditions. There is no doubt that a pet kept in dorms will make our environment worse. You may imagine the pet’s hairs around here and there and the terrible smell of excrement. What’s more, pets also bring us healthy risks. They can give us diseases.

From the foregoing, we can safely draw a conclusion that it is inadvisable for college students to keep pets on campus because it will affect our study, disturb others’ life and destroy environment. Hence, we’d better not keep pets on campus.
