in college, i had convinced myself that i was not good enough to act in the school play.therefore, i decide not to audition even though drama bad always been my passion. the dayof the auditions, a friend of mine asked me why i wasnt

auditioning. when i told her i didntfeel i was good enough, she was shocked. she was able to provide me with

anotherperspective on myself and my talents. i rethought my decision and tried out... and got a leadin the play.

last year when i was trying to decide whether or not i should study overseas, i talked tomy friend. this was the best thing i

could have done. this was a big decision for me because ihad never been overseas on my own and i wasnt sure i could do it. she had studied overseasthe previous year. she told me about the challenges and opportunities i might encounter andhelped me make the right decision. i went and it was amazing!

我自己做决定

在茫茫人生中，充满着很多十字路口，每一个决定、每一种选择，率领我们走向不一样的结果。一项正确的决定，足以成就光明的将来；一项草率、不经思虑的决定，却也可能使我们深陷泥沼。所以，人们在选择前踌躇了，是要盲目找寻人群，亦或背水一战，开辟一条崭新的道路。 那一次，我自己决定要不要补习。升上初中后，课业压力显然地加重了很多。日复一日的考试，深重的升学难题，像重任般压得人喘可是气来。担忧跟不上他人，我也在父亲母亲的劝告下参加了补习班。但读了一学期后，我便懊悔了。常常补到夜晚八点、九点，又有很多额外的作业。放弃补习，意味着要自修；持续补习，又吃不用。当时，我的心里天人开战，在两个选择中，不停彷徨游移。而爸妈的反对，更是不停摇动着我的信念。在频频的挣扎、挥动，并周密的思虑后，我断然毅然的放弃补习，并下定信心自己承





担结果。 以后，我自己准备考试，上课仔细听讲，多做额外的题目。没想到，成绩不测的日新月异。我想，这是由于我知道自己哪方面需要增强。那次的决定，由我掌握方向舵，我知道我想要的是什么， 我要掌握自己的命运。 人生，就像一片汪洋海洋，前面等着我们的，是很多的未知。人们在依循古人道路与开辟新航路上踌躇不决。没 有人知道将来会怎样，但我们能够抱持坚定的信念，掌握自己的方向。一条崭新的航路，将由自己开始。
