China is a country with a long history and culture. There are many traditional festivals, such as the Spring Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Double Ninth Festival.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It usually falls on the first day of the first lunar month. Before the festival, people usually clean their houses, decorate their windows and doors with red paper cuttings, and buy new clothes and shoes. On the eve of the Spring Festival, all the family members get

together and have a big dinner. During the Spring Festival, people usually visit their relatives and friends, and exchange gifts.

The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. People usually eat Zongzi, a kind of traditional food made of glutinous rice, on this day. Besides, people also have

dragon boat races, which is said to be held in memory of Qu Yuan, a famous poet in ancient China.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. On this day, people usually eat moon cakes and admire the full moon.

The Double Ninth Festival is celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. People usually climb mountains and appreciate chrysanthemums on this day.

These traditional festivals are important parts of Chinese culture. They are not only occasions for people to have a good time, but also chances for people to learn and understand Chinese culture.
